Fjord Cruise Nærøyfjord - Daytrip

Take a break from the slopes and experience the calmness on the Nærøyfjord on a daytrip to Flåm. The atmosphere on the World Heritage-listed Nærøyfjord is even more special in winter than in other times of the year.

On bright, crisp winter days, it sparkles with its own, beautiful calmness, while on grey and humid days it is filled with mystery.

The trip starts by bus from Myrkdalen Hotel to Gudvangen. Here you have time to visit the Vikings in Viking Valley's village Njardarheimr or sit down in front of Gudvangen Fjordtell's fireplace with something hot to drink.

The 2-hour long fjord cruise takes you through the narrow Nærøyfjord with steep mountains on both sides and idyllic fjord villages. When you reach the end of the fjord arm, the boat turns into the Aurlandsfjord, a wider fjord but just as pretty.

Once you arrive in Flåm, you have time to look around. Stop by Flåm Bakery for fresh artisan baked goods or a freshly baked pizza. The nearby Flåm Railway Museum tells the story from the construction of the world-famous railway till today.

The return trip by bus to Myrkdalen takes just under an hour - perfect for a bit of relaxation before dinner and other evening activities.
