Is there a shop in Myrkdalen where I can buy groceries?
In winter there is a small shop in Myrkdalstovo where you can buy basic groceries and a selection of clothes/ touring gear. In summer you can buy fresh bread, coffee and ice cream at Myrkdalen Hotel. If you want a larger selection of food we recommend that you buy your groceries in Vinje or in Voss.

Can I pay with credit card in Myrkdalen Mountain Resort?
Yes, we accept VISA, American Express, Maestro, Diners and Master Card.

Is there a bank/ATM machine in Myrkdalen?
No, the nearest ATM machine is at Vinje. However, you can get cash in Myrkdalstovo if you have a debit card.

WINTER RELATED QUESTIONS

What is the climate like in Myrkdalen in winter?
We have an annual snowfall of 5,2 metres. In the winter months the temperature can sometimes drop to 15 degrees Celsius below zero. We recommend that you bring woolen basic layers, warm mid-layers, waterproof jacket and pants, hat, neck warmer, thick socks, warm gloves, goggles and sunglasses. Eye protection is important both on windy and sunny days.  A down jacket is nice to have on chilly days.

When is the ski season in Myrkdalen?
The ski season in Myrkdalen is from mid November until 1st of May 2016. Please note that the ski resort is only open in the weekends from mid November until December 4th.

Which restaurants are open in summer?
Restaurant Nuten and the Fondue section is open in summer. Please note that Nuten Fondue has no fixed opening hours and you need to prebook in order to eat there.
