Located in the west coast of Norway, Myrkdalen has a unique placement nestled between mountain and fjords, only 30 minutes from Voss and 2 hours from Bergen.
Unpack your car, check in to the hotel, breath out. Finally, you have reached your destination. Let the Easter holiday begin. Snow covered hills, newly groomed alpine and cross-country slopes are waiting. Everything is in place for lovely days in the mountains.

Did you know that there is a light trail and approximately 30 km of cross-country tracks directly from the ski resort?
When you stay at Myrkdalen Hotel, you’ll have easy access to our cross-country trails. Step out side, strap on your skis and cross the ski bridge at Helgatun. You’ll arrive in Årmotslia ski arena. In Årmotslia you’ll find groomed trails for both skating and classic cross-country skiing. The trails can also be used for touring with mountain skis.
The area is hilly and great for games on skis with kids, or a good training session in adventurous surroundings.
Our fun and engaging children's area is located at base of the ski resort. With wide open slopes, clear lines of sight and beginner friendly lifts, this is the place to be for first-time skiers.
Eventyrskogen (Fairytale Forest) is next door and has fun forest trails to play in. This year we have expanded some of them with exciting bends, rails and small jumps. It’s like a little mini park for kids. And who knows? Maybe the kids will see something fun and unexpected whilst skiing through the trees?
Tip: Close by the childrens area, there are lean-tos, Revhiet and Harehiet. Perfect for barbecue and a little rest.
If you are lucky you might meet a kind and bouncy Hare, called Finn. He loooves to ski and to greet children and adults that visit Myrkdalen. When the kids join the activities that are named after him, he jumps up and down for joy and feels super proud!

We have a total of 8 different restaurants and cafés to choose from. Here you'll find a range of tasty dishes made with local ingredients. During the easter holiday, you can experience traditional meals from the region with the head chef's own twist.
